It also means your competitors have access to the same tools. You can see this in the amount of content, number of businesses, and plethora of polished-looking offers competing for attention.

And with technology moving as quickly as it is, we're all trying to work out the same thing: What will change next, and what will still matter?

At the same time, we're becoming more skeptical of what we see.

Is that review genuine? Did that person actually write the article? Is the image real? Does the person calling themselves an expert actually know what they're talking about?

Business owners increasingly have to earn it through their expertise, reputation, relationships, consistency, results and the experience they create for real people. Which raises a few other questions: What is real? Who can I believe? How do others know they can believe me?
